I literally broke into rage tears when I read this morning that #trump declared Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth will no longer be free admission days for national parks and monuments. The replacement day is DaddyDiaperPants’s birthday instead.
I’m aware that profanity suggests a lack of vocabulary, but also I am a member of GenX, and thus:

I am old enough to remember segregation. My parents were in the crowd that heard MLK’s dream. I rode one of the first busses, when they finally rolled in the Deep South, decades after legislation demanded it. I remember being a student being given a ride home by a football player, and we both ended up with cop inflicted bruises, because they assumed a “white” girl was messing with a black boy.
We fought then, we fight now. Fuck compliance.

I would just like to state here that scrubbing tile grout with a toothbrush is significantly less fun than I would like, and my Tom Sawyer skills have not convinced anyone otherwise. Also, whichever person decided that cream colored tile grout for a floor was a good idea, should be hit with sticks.

Ok y’all, I feel like throwing paint at a thing. Probably a canvas, cause it’s 107f outside and fuck all of that. But I’m restless and twitchy and overwhelmed and overstimulated, and I have spent 30 minutes staring at paint colors and now I just cannot with decisions.
So, I’ve decided my tools will be junk mail flyers, a chain from a ceiling fan, a tube, and possibly forks. I dunno about them yet. Potentially paper pulp and maybe hot glue. Frankly, I’m just going to make a mess, but I’ll keep notes so I can pretend it’s science.
So throw color ideas at me. Assume blue and or green. I want to step away from my apocalyptic thoughts for a day, so let’s skip hellscape colors. But that’s as much decision as I am capable of managing.
Help a sister out. Tell me your favorite color, and I’ll gather responses later and try to incorporate them. It’ll be like community art, only you don’t have to clean stuff up. 🥳

Well, I used all the color suggestions! It turned out cool, if not at all what I had planned. I lost control of it at some point, and it just became finger painting. I call her : Stalagmite or stalactite, I can never remember which is which , OR Honey, I found the lsd! When it’s dry, I’ll see what I can make of it. 🥳

The US government collected nearly $30 billion in #tariff revenue last month, according to the Treasury Department. That’s a 242% jump in tariff revenue compared to last July. That’s a #TrumpTax we are all paying.
Since April, when #47 unilaterally began imposing a 10% tariff across nearly all goods, among several other steeper levies that followed, the government collected a total of $100 billion in tariff revenue, three times the amount collected during the same four months last year.
Are we using it to to pay for making the bribe jet flyable? Is this where the budget to destroy the White House is coming from? Where have hundreds of billions of dollars gone? Are the pedos using it to traffic children? Fund #genocide? What has the #GOP done with our money?
I want a full accounting of where this money is, and what it’s being used for.
