nabbed some braided elastic for my collapsable cane for a couple reasons:
1. the plastic bracket to keep the collapsable cane collapsed is a pocket paperweight when the cane is assembled
2. the wriststrap keyring hole on the handle broke
so now this braided elastic band is knotted onto the shaft tightly enough that it can stay around the handle when it's not in use, and slid off the cane and used like a strap to keep the collapsed cane from folding out again.
