#WritersCoffeeClub 10 Aug: How much of your world-building extends beyond what's shown in the text?
It's not my world-building, but the collective world-building of all the oral folk storytellers of previous centuries. And there is a lot of it!
In fact, a big part of my job as a translator is to figure all this unstated context out, and explain it to an international audience - for otherwise, many aspects of these tales will not make sense to most of my readers.
