@da_667@infosec.exchange in concept I like all the villages. In practice, it seems that unless you’re a person who camps out at a particular village to work on a particular challenge, there’s not a lot for people “casually wandering through”

Like, it seems like village staff is totally swamped, or head down on their laptops, not making any effort to welcome people into their spaces.

(I understand this isn’t the most “customer service is important” crowd, but I do wonder how many villages are an excuse for a pet project vs. actually trying to educate)

(I also am told that the vibe was different pre-LVCC, but this is all the experience I got)

@TindrasGrove@infosec.exchange @da_667@infosec.exchange id rather say the community’s are taking over the villages, the villages are now just extended training places, contests there really is too many. but things have to break form them to be remade into what’s needed. every year there so many more new people and first timers.
