@octothorpe@mastodon.online our microwave not only beeps, but has a child lock. So every time it loses power, you must on first launch perform a series of steps to 1. set the time, 2. disable child lock, 3. disable beeps
Of course it beeps the whole time, every time you tap a button. Jail. Straight to jail.

stephen ryner jr. 🦉@octothorpe@mastodon.online it’s even better, if you mistakenly hit the “start” button three times instead of the “seconds” button three times (1:30) it locks you out of the microwave until you hit some other magic key combo
These buttons are of course right atop each other, it’s super-easy to do this accidentally.
