I accidentally used AP soft tone dip wash on a little wooden ladder I'd built, and all it did was make it sticky and shiny, with hints of filth. Never again.

@pixelworship@gamepad.club If you want to try and save it, dunk it in acetone, it dissolves most things and will dry in a minute or so. I'd recommend 3 washes in clean acetone each time.
@pixelworship@gamepad.club accidentally dropped ladder into dipping pot.
JUST CALL IT SCIENCE FOR THE GREATER GOOD MAN 😆![]()

Oh yeah that's going nowhere good, that ladder's a bunch of flat surfaces, and it may have been offended that you didn't shake it off well, I hear the dips require that.

@NinjaDebugger@mastodon.sandwich.net @pixelworship@gamepad.club I've seen yubtub nerds scrape coffee stirrers with a wire brush to give them texture before making ladders off em, but fk that for a game of soldiers
@NinjaDebugger@mastodon.sandwich.net yup, it's shit. just gonna dip the next one in Agrax and be done with it.
@erikcats@dice.camp @NinjaDebugger@mastodon.sandwich.net @pixelworship@gamepad.club I've tried that with styrene for texture. Didn't hurt, and it was both quick and good enough for me 😅![]()
@isd_d@mastodon.social @erikcats@dice.camp I'm gonna do the old wire brush scraping thing with coffee stirrers and ice cream sticks later, for the match sticks I didn't need to because they're already textured enough.
