A miniature diorama featuring Krampus, Saint Nick's not so nice helper, facing off with an ornery cat (but I repeat myself). The shot is from behind the cat, at a low angle, letting us see Krampus's devil face beneath his hood. The cat is white, and so the shadows and yellow lighting make it mostly grey or yellowish. The base of the miniature is an oval, with the cat at the extreme of one end, and Krampus just on the other side of the center line, with most of the base covered in snow, which is either in shadow from Krampus, the cat, or the bottom of the lantern, or lit yellow by the lantern's light. Krampus's beard is half yellow from the lantern, as is much of his left thumb and forefinger, with all fingers monstrously elongated. Between his horns, reaching out of the bag on his back, is the arm of a small child, prevented from escaping by a thick rope across the mouth of the bag. Krampus's robes are dark purple in the shadows, purplish crimson for the underrobe, and bright Santa scarlet for the overrobe, with white cuffs around the hood and wrists, while the bag is variegated shades of brown, wrapped with brown rope, the knots holding the web of ropes together bound in place with bones. In his right hand, Krampus holds an iron lantern, dark except for the bright yellow light pouring from inside, and his great horns are black with red highlights. His face, beneath the hood, is a shadowy red, with just the tip of his nose, peeking out of the shadows, pale flesh. The rear of the same miniature, showing the harsh shadows cast by the lantern, and the child's arm lit from this angle by the fires of hell within the sack on Krampus's back. The road behind Krampus is not snowy, all the snow having been melted by his hellish heat, as he left glowing hoofprints on the cobblestone road, revealing that his feet are the cloven hooves of a demon. A high quarter angle on the diorama, showing the hellish light coming from the inside of the child bag, as well as the yellow light lighting the upper face of the cat confronting Krampus. From this angle it's easier to see the cuff on Krampus's left wrist lit yellow by the lantern. A higher angle on the first picture, letting the lit cuff be seen again, as well as another angle on the light coming from the bag, leaving the child's palm in darkness and silhouette.

Think my next battletech project for auction is going to be this SLDF command lance. I can paint over Kerensky's mediocre prepaint and do up the rest to match.
