Huh I bought a new spotted beebalm this year and planted it somewhere else because both died last year... I guess one self seeded before dying 🥹 or something?

I’ve only had the very sturdy monarda didyma, so the spotted bee balm (monarda fistula) looks odd to me. I understand it is short lived as a perennial, and more likely to keep going by a self-seeding… this may be an annual surprise to see where it is each year!
