Please someone start a company that exclusively makes and sells electronics and appliances that don’t connect to the Internet.
Could call it “Luddite”.
“Hey how’s your new Luddite dishwasher?”—“Great, it washes dishes and never crashes!”

@thomasfuchs@hachyderm.io And if the appliance uses a microcontroller it and the sensors are commodity off the shelf components so a fried controller board (which happens regularly - ask me how I know) doesn’t result in a bricked appliance destined for landfill.
