And here's a great golden digger wasp, seen in two halves

The upper half of a gray golden digger wasp seen in goldenrod flowers. It has teardrop shaped eyes and a teardrop shaped black head. Its legs are orange

Here we see the back end of the same wasp. Its abdomen is orange close to the waist, and black on the end.
