I came for the photos and I stayed for the community. "You all are like each other's cheerleaders on here." -my husband aka coffeemaker. β©Photos my own, CC BY-NC, taken on my phone.

Bridge reflections
I never saw a rainbow in a dandelion before
I didn't edit this except to crop it. Kind of an interesting eerie sunset skyline.
I went hiking with my kids yesterday. We saw mushrooms and caterpillars galore. And my eagle-eyed kids spotted some really cool things that I've seen pictures of before, but never saw in person, like this bird's nest fungus.

A question for people in Quebec. Has anybody enabled apple's call screening? Is it bilingual? I'm wondering how it'll handle an incoming call from a Francophone who doesn't speak English.

Sir, I strongly advise against wading into snow that's deeper than you.

Hmm, not a fan of things flying onto my screen and bouncing into place.
This liquid glass may be exactly what I needed, to spend less time in my phone.

Why?! Why is the date solid, and the time transparent?

(Talking to myself): "you walk to work in this weather. Why not ride? It'll be fine. You can do this. You can do this."
Husband: "sounds like you're trying to talk yourself into it."
Me: "of course. Did you see what it looks like outside?"
Final result: easy peasy! Plus a sense of exhilaration and accomplishment. My first winter bike ride to work in snowy weather with snowy ground. I'm even getting used to the sensation of the tires sliding out sideways in the snow.

Don't forget to get physical prints of your photos every once in a while.
I just got some prints for updating various family photo frames, plus a few of my own favorites, and it's such a pleasure to leaf through them with my hands. They look different, often better, in physical form. And as long as you store them carefully, they won't become obsolete like file types or computer media.

Laundry revelation: button up the duvet cover before washing, to keep it from ingesting everything else in the washer.
Now if only I had a solution for the hungry fitted sheets.
On a whim, I walked up a small hillside to see the trees at the top, and look what I found!

A common sight in Quebec, the fallen glove that has been placed on a fence post in hopes that its owner will find it when they pass by again. A sign of optimism and good will towards strangers.
