Those 'patriots' protesting about immigration to the UK are probably proud of the British Empire without realising that the British poking their noses into other parts of the world were in large part responsible for conflicts that arose when the Brits left.

@wood5y@mastodonapp.uk I'd say they're just proud of the Empire full stop, including the horrific devastation it caused across the world to anyone with the wrong skin tone or a "funny accent".
