Day 1 of working on the laptop: I got almost nowhere. I did however get the base config all squared away. it messes up at the bootloader whenever I try to use my flake-ified config. I might just try it with no modules, then gradually add more. it could also be a problem with my main machine using grub and the laptop automatically choosing to use systemd-boot. I legit cannot keep working on this, I will fry my brains.
