It seems tricky these days to buy a TV unit (the piece of furniture that either supports your TV’s stand, or sits under your wall-mounted TV, and contains your games consoles, AV amp, etc) which actually fits an AV amp. I have an old Onkyo TX-NR656 that’s is chunky. And I can’t find a unit that is sensibly priced, not ugly, and fits the Onkyo. Do people just go with soundbars these days?

The one I have is massive and could support a very large CRT TV

I suspect it might be easier to design and build a bespoke unit to the measurements needed. Perhaps as a fitted unit
