I feel like my new system is having some gender issues.

Debian installer asks for a hostname but it's somewhy mint (yeah I booted Live Mint to copy some files but then just took away SSD and just copied it by connecting SSD to my laptop lol.

My timezone is Europe/Kiev (with Russian transliteration of Ukrainian capital city).

@yura@udongein.xyz probably it might be worth a shot filing a bug report upstream? Consider though that the timezone db uses the anglicized name for all cities, which might explain why they went for it neofox_sweat
