Went into Menard’s for a temporary $30 faucet-mounted water purifier. Somehow walked out with a freestanding water cooler and a commitment to the 5-gallon jug life. Bye bye, rebate check 😭

@gregatron5@vmst.io it was only $175. The house has a softener but it needs love (not the same, I know) When we renovate the kitchen we’ll add the same 4-stage RO system we’ve grown to love. But for now I’m paying convenience tax. Hard to justify installing anything given the house will get substantial work over the next year or two
