This is a crucial realization, and not just for medicine. States committed to taking care of their people, to evidence-based governance, to democracy & the rule of law, ARE on their own for the duration of the #TurdReich.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. We were originally--and technically STILL ARE, according to the Constitution, the United STATES of America. And the BLUE states already produce a healthy majority of the U.S. GDP--because Democratic policies have FOR DECADES produced demonstrably better OUTCOMES.

States need to step up, withhold THEIR payments to the federal government, build their OWN better systems of care--and progress--and tell
#AgolfShitler he can pound sand. Its one of the few actions of rebellion that, should Republicans choose to adopt it during DEMOCRATIC administrations, WOULD STILL WORK IN OUR FAVOR!

@EINS_Institute@infosec.exchange blue states need to be building shadow infrastructure. The feds divest from mRNA vaccines? Step in and INVEST and build the health and economic capacity in your own state. Feds divest from research and education? Then INVEST in those things. Feds divest from international collaboration and aid? Then INVEST in those things! And do so working with other blue states - to preserve critical talent and expertise and to serve your constituents.
