This is a crucial realization, and not just for medicine. States committed to taking care of their people, to evidence-based governance, to democracy & the rule of law, ARE on their own for the duration of the #TurdReich.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing. We were originally--and technically STILL ARE, according to the Constitution, the United STATES of America. And the BLUE states already produce a healthy majority of the U.S. GDP--because Democratic policies have FOR DECADES produced demonstrably better OUTCOMES.
States need to step up, withhold THEIR payments to the federal government, build their OWN better systems of care--and progress--and tell #AgolfShitler he can pound sand. Its one of the few actions of rebellion that, should Republicans choose to adopt it during DEMOCRATIC administrations, WOULD STILL WORK IN OUR FAVOR!
