If you’re on another desktop, you still likely use components developed by GNOME contributors—or maybe you get apps from Flathub.

@cassidy@mastodon.blaede.family I'll consider befriending Gnome when it lets me use a password manager. Currently pinentry-gnome3 is desktop-modal, so whenever I want to switch to my password manager, the whole screen is locked by the password entry dialog and I can't do anything. The "experience" is shit.

(There is an open bug for this issue, but no one has looked at it in years.)
