way to pump up the retro 90βs vibes! Now all you need are some JNCO jeans and youβre set!

That vest is FABULOUS!! Thanks so much for sharing your progress and process.
@EllenInEdmonton@mstdn.ca It's extremely, extremely, extremely loud. π![]()

There's only two types of broadly fashionable vests: very conservative in a neutral color, or the textile equivalent of a flashing neon sign π€![]()

That's wonderful! Sewing really allows us to occupy our space, should we choose to!
@me_valentijn@m.ai6yr.org @EllenInEdmonton@mstdn.ca My entire extended family is far more attuned to "fitting in" socially than I am. Probably an outgrowth of cultural roots and upbringing. (also "don't draw attention to yourself" etc.) I grew up as the social outcast, non-Mormon in a neighborhood which was 99% Mormon in Utah, and evolved an IDGAF attitude as a result. Thus, I'd be perfectly willing to walk around with this vest now.

Haha, one of my friends for many years was a Mormon Democrat, so he wasn't the type that would just attempt to fit in. Go forth gloriously, and let your family members deal with their own feelings about your clothing!
