I really enjoy the Monteverde "Ritma" #FountainPen and just picked up another, this one with the 1.1mm italic nib. Got some Wearingeul "I am a Cat" shimmer ink. Beautiful stuff, but the shimmer effect will vary widely depending on what type of paper you use.

In the center of the page the ink's tiny metallic flakes can be seem to shimmer, but in the background the same ink on different paper shows little shimmer effect.
