@icanbob@techhub.social I agree. I think a lot of things could be fixed internally if everything went right for the next couple of decades but externally, no. Trump has ruined the U.S. The U.S. has turned its back on its allies and become an erratic adversary. Trump's moronic behavior (and give Musk a lot of credit for this as well) has ceded key strategic strengths to China and others. We're not going to fix that. End of empire. As I always understood during my govt career, trust underpins everything. The U.S. used to have it but we won't have it again.
