What's the most trans fantasy TV series? And why is it The Witcher?
I mean, Yennefer is obvious:
-Grows up being treated as less than, suffers abuse and subjugating own needs to the demands of others because of how others see her.
-Not treated as "one of the girls" because of her appearance
-Sacrifices her reproductive organs to make her body her own and release her beauty
-Looks much younger than her age as a result of her transformation
-Yearns to be able to become a mother, despite being infertile
-Often desired by men, but never treated as wife material
Geralt is pretty obvious too:
-Is seen by normies as more of a monster than a man
-Transforms his body by taking something that would be poisonous to others
-Infertile, but becomes a nurturing father
-Has some really cool scars
-Has better style than most men
-Is basically in a pansexual polycule with Yennefer and Jaskier
-Forced to face down the monsters society refuses to confront
And their relationship? So obviously t4t - two people who exist in violation of the gender norms of their world despite being hot as fuck who relate to and understand each other at a deeper level than anyone else might. And then they adopt a daughter and raise her together? Just....so fucking trans.
And Jaskier is the adorable cis gay metamour singing about trans rights and how people need to donate to Geralt's gofundme 🤭![]()
