@SpaceLifeForm@infosec.exchange Even on cable, your TV is a dumb display terminal. A stack of signals comes down the pipe and your TV can tune any of them, without any reporting of what it's doing. Only on internet based systems (eg Paramount+) can there be any stats compiled. @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org

It depends upon the cable system. If there is a receiver box involved, they definitely could track which channels your watch and when.
