"You can't judge 'AI' without trying every new version!" I mean, yes I can? I understand how it works, what the outputs are, what it does to you as a user, who they're stealing from, what it does to the environment, who controls it, and who benefits from it. I don't need to use it myself to learn about any of this.
Put another way: I don't need to use heroin sold at a casino to know that these things are bad for me and society at large.
