@johnefrancis@cosocial.ca I'm thinking we could use a new crown corporation that is initially for the fed gov, and then subleases services / capacity to provincial, municipal governments, and finally small biz and such (maybe). Big biz can do their own thing.

@johnefrancis@cosocial.ca Data residency was a pointed reason why my last employer kept things in-house, had racks and racks of equipment in Canadian datacenters. Even after being bought by an American bank - all that Canadian data kept on shore. It was a major selling point for gaining new customers, even the ones in EU.
