Thinking my next phone may be a Samsung. Had one before, was good. Non US. South Korea has decent relations with Canada. Good hardware. Popular models, so should continue to have decent options for rooting and installing a de-bloated OS.
My phone needs are pretty typical.
Fire away on your takes.
around here, decent amount of open fields and built up suburban areas.
Around the airport are a lot of forests, particularly to the south, from where the wind is blowing today. There is still green in the grass at the airport. Not for much longer tho.
now down to 34.3, cloud passing, sun getting lower, etc. Won't be breaking the 2025 high of 35.8 set on June 23.
My chimney-mounted weather station has been >34.5 since 1:20PM, while the Ottawa airport has been about 0.5-1.0 degrees cooler. On very still, sunny, and hot days, it can read a bit high, but there is a good breeze today.
The difference is probably because the airport station is standard sited in the middle of >1000 sq ft. of grass, at a height of 1.25-2m, while mine is about 8ft above a roof.
Or microclimate factors. The other personal stations around Barrhaven are all reading 35-38.

Yes, that's a hashtag containing the correct accent too.

Anyone running a #fairphone in #canada? Wondering how to get a v6.
It seems like a great option for de-googling.
Bought a new red Swingline 747 for my basement office. Family stole it before I could even put staples in it, and then had to come and beg for staples.
I'm burning this place down if it's not back on my desk by sundown.
the house lives another day

d13 returned from horse day camp, 5 flies emerged from her backpack and 3 from her lunchbag.
My "hunting dog" is terrified of the salt gun, so I have to hunt them down by hand.
