The Artist PosiPutt says they only like to boost images with Alt Text, but their page has a banner with this unknown animal, and I can't seem to find a description of it.
Wanted to show someone some basic Fediverse info, and their first question was "are mastodons and squirrels friends?"
I suspect it's a fox, but can't find any evidence for or against.

When you say you follow a link, do you mean a link to a different server's website?
Or do you mean a link to your server's website?
If you want to interact with a profile or post, you need to do that within your own server's website. You can make the post or profile appear within your server's website by pasting the post or profile's web address into your server's search box.

Banners on profiles can't have alt texts in Mastodon, unfortunately 😞

On that site clicking the address takes you to the account's page on its own server which may not be your server.
To follow an account from the directory, copy-paste the address into the search box on your server. The account will then appear on your own server and you'll be able to follow and interact with it.

Click ... on the post, then "Report" and then follow the instructions, and if it gives you the option to forward the report select that option.
