you look out the window of your office building, the tower next to you smouldering and shattered the tremors of it crashing to the ground still resonating through the building, and then on the horizon you see another plane heading towards you, but this time its headed towards your building
at first appearing tiny but it quickly grows to be far larger than you could've imagined you brace for impact as it hits the building below you
and then its over, just a little tremor and minimal damage, you breathe a sigh of relief you wont be dying today, you start to walk back to your desk to get back to work and then out of the corner of you eye, a glint of light and then another and another, you run over to the window nose against the glass and see what appears to be hundreds of planes of planes flying right at your building you stand there frozen in shock and then your building collapses.
you jolt up from bed, skin slick with sweat your sheets sticking to your body heart racing, on your bedside table your phone buzzes and vibrates violently, hundreds of fedi notifications show up on its screen, you flop back down in bed breathing a heavy sigh of relief, in the corner of your room your instance strains and dies, its fan slowing down until it is no longer audible as you lie there out of breath you realize what has happened
