The temperature of the globe was the 3rd warmest on record (in this dataset) during the climatological boreal spring in 2023. Focus on the long-term trend - not every little wiggle.

The March-May 2023 global mean surface temperature anomaly was 1.05°C. Anomalies are computed relative to a 1951-1980 baseline. The graph shows large interannual variability, but a long-term increasing trend, especially after 1980s. The dataset is from GISTEMPv4.

I've been trying to get people to take #ClimateAction for so long that I contributed a lot to the campaign towards messaging that global warming has been caused by the fossil fuel industries and so we should focus our ire against them.

A big part of the reason for that early focus that there were so few of us and we needed to not alienate people by attacking their lifestyles. Well, now it's up to individuals to act, but when I say "individuals" it's the ones at the top of this chart 1st
