She is actively twiddling some knobs, facing the equipment and not really paying close attention to the older folks. The seated girl says "I'll take a sincere-type ham to those squares any day! Now, please, don't jam my wave band!" To which the woman replies "Really, dear... can't you at least TRY being like other girls?"
