My cat has no balance. He was born without it (vet diagnosed).

I just watched my cat half-asleep roll over, fall off the bed and land on his feet somehow.

He then proceeds to THUNK on the ground by tipping himself ungracefully and goes back to sleep. This cat... omg. 😆

"Oh I guess I'm standing now.... I'm tired THUNK"

Omg! Riven 2024 remake is better than the original!

Riven2024 is how I remember Riven—my imagination extrapolating the gaps.

It is a passion project, a labor of love. The remake gives birth to QoL enhancements without taking anything away.

I actually bought the remake even tho i have the original on disk.

For the only major change ive noticed see spoiler below

Original: Gehn's 233 Age is used as a nexus between the 5 Golden domes ('fast travel' points). You must complete the puzzle on each one in order to reveal a linking book to 233.

Remake: Gehn took advantage of more tears in Riven's spacetime fabric and covered them with the Golden domes. You go reveal the tear by flipping open the dome and then can traverse between the 5 islands in a small non-Euclidean space.

IMO the remake's rewrite is better. Not only do you not have to do a needless puzzle 5 times (for the sake of just having more puzzles) but this make more sense canon-wise since Gehn was unable to make more books. He TRIED but the only 2 books* he could write were the ones to Age 233 and the link back to Riven; both powered by excessive energy due to Gehn being a shit author of The Art.

(*3 if you include Tay, but that was failed by Gehn and fixed by Catherine. Who, ironically, was once a desciple of Gehn. Lol)

Im attempting to move to Germany and find a new life! Follow this thread to follow this journey

The last 32 hours or so were HORRIBLE! Panic attack, extreme fatigue, nausea.

But! Look at where I am! The airport!! I fucking did it!

I pushed myself too hard and ended up not sleeping for 32 hours. As of right now (write now) I am on the 33rd hour :p. Looking back, this is the way, and it wouldnt have happened any other way. ADHD is a Tanzanian to tame.

I have done so much in the last 3 months! I thought it would have only taken me 1 month, but severely underestimated EVERYTHING. Rebooked the flight twice, but with 2 deadlines, this plane is it!

Gosh.. I met with realtor, packed (most) of the house, gave a 1/3 of my stuff away, the appropriate ppl have access to the rest, and my sister can be a PoA should need be. 7 or so documents apostille'd, degree recognized in Germany, language coarse booked, (potentially a scam) appartment rental reserved, vital documents ascertained! I also have a internationally certified document proving I am not a criminal! ITS GO TIME!
