Saw details going around, and I wasn't sure if it was a joke.
It appears to be real thoughβfor Americans looking to leave their situation there is a treaty with the Netherlands to help them move there and foster entrepreneurship.
The most surprising part of it is that it is called DAFT (Dutch American Friendship Treaty). π€£
I wonder if they refer to applicants as "Guests in Training" which would further extend the joke.

Worrisome to have a medical emergency on #ISS. Looking over the Crew11 roster, it didn't appear that there's a medical doctor among the crew currently. There was one (Kim) up to Dec 9.
Sounds like probably a return home soon.
Aha - nice! Someone has done the work already. I need one of these comb razor attachments and was just about to start designing one from scratch.
They're about $5 from the manufacturer, but they won't ship outside US. One can print it for less than $0.50.
The design is in super overkill fine resolution, which always irks me a bit as it's redundant data. So I spent an hour removing 100k or more vertices, and cleaning it up. Hoping it fits well!

This is probably the first (and perhaps only?) 3D print I'm ever going to regularly rub against my face. lol
Glad that PLA is non toxic, and there's no lead filament around.

Power-outage time has passed without any action yet. Perhaps with the extra snow their pole replacement project is somewhat delayed.
Maybe the workers misunderstood what "Pole replacement" meant?
I've shut down my #homeAssistant RPi in anticipation of power outage shortly. I'll power it back up after the mains go down, using my backup power setup.
I've not tried the inverter + battery to run the whole home network (sans a couple of servers) before so this'll be an interesting test.

It's 45min to scheduled power outage. Making toast and tea to get that stuff done before the outage.
Necessary servers shut down and some standby power is, well, standing by.

Today I'm preparing a bit for a local electrical-utility outage tomorrow. Our preps for the recent threat of an ice storm (less severe than feared) were useful in getting me to think ahead.
Getting fireplace ready. Tomorrowβup early to pre-heat the house and stow away some hot tea.
The health related downsides of having a gas cooktop are well documented lately, but man they are nice to have in a power outage. Our induction one isn't going to do much for us tomorrow morning.
Pulled huge lengths of coax cable out of the nooks and crannies of our house today. I have no need for it now or in the future.
Two more cables disappear into a wall to destinations unknown, and another goes to a known place, but is not moving at all so may have to remain.
One convoluted route is attractive for a future cat6 cable so I pulled a string through with that one and tagged it.
I hate mystery wires. Can't imagine where these ones would go.
