Breaking into the meow crackers received for xmas. High cute factor.

Tastes a bit like a Ritz cracker but it's very thin.

A square box about the size of a large book, which is yellow with Chinese characters on it and features a cute big-eyed cat graphic, wearing a napkin around his neck which looks like Swiss cheese.

Very tasty result. The crust and tomato flavours really shine.

I saw a YT video a little while ago just filming inside a family bakery in Italy and one of the things they made was a super plain pizza of just tomato sauce and lots of olive oil. It was baked briefly then finished with fresh mozzarella and a bit longer in the oven.

Slightly simpler than a Margherita where you'd usually include some basil leaves.

So I'm doing that, as I had some very happy sourdough starter, that was raring to go.

Don't know if it's just a Canadian thing or not, but a non-trivial percentage of all thrift store vinyl records are Nana Mouskouri albums.

It may be an as yet unrecognized universal constant.

Ha ha "Poster Enclosed!" says the text excitedly, and my friends apparently the poster didn't get mounted on anyone's wall because it's still inside the album jacket.

Here for your enjoyment is an additional view of Dave's tremendous chest hair undershirt in poster form.

A large folded poster shows the same singing group of two gown -wearing ladies with old Dave and his shirt open half way revealing the wooly marmot that lives within.

Thrift store visit. Always enjoy looking at the diverse mugs, the "art" works, the miscellaneous electronics and tools, and the vinyl records.

This one cracked us up. lol

In a bit of #HomeAssistant work yesterday I started working on some 'hourly check' scripting. Seems to work.

I wanted a gentle, low-interruption (non-cat frightening) sound to tell us the system is running and all is well with the things I have it checking.

I also needed an attention-getting, not annoying, but informative, announcement to check specific things.

The audio crafting on this has been pretty good over the past many months…

…for my #HomeAssistant gentle informative sound, I went with the sound of a cooing dove/pigeon.

Cats are a bit interested, but mostly ignore it. lol

Let's see if I can attach audio effectively here.

Noticed the shops are mostly sold out of wall calendars. Only ones left I don't want for my kitchen. (I get all the kittens & puppies I need through Mastodon).

Here's an easy solution for #reuse of last year's calendar!

Layout works out well this year too, if you like having the weekend at the end of the week.

A wall calendar is shown and I've crossed out the days of the week and just written them back in, aligned with this year's day numbers. It shifted the week so that Saturday and Sunday are at the end of the week now.
