An add on a locksmith site suggests buying a "yale" lock but their headline is "Why Pick Yale Locks" rather than "Why choose yale locks," Kind of suggests a whole different activity. Additional text is just marketing yadda yadda below that headline.

A one day delay due to the week's weather, but our #oddBunch order just received.

Fun to see the monster carrots! Have never had one of those ur carrots before, but I see them all the time in Japan-based media. Cool.

Better batch this week. Last week was a bit thin, though likely still a good value.

A bunch of veg and fruit includes limes, potatoes, green apples, red pears, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, oranges and broccoli

Removed the extra snow received over the last few days, and though cold, I'm enjoying the sun which seems like it's been away for a while.

Back inside the #houseplants are happy too.

Bought a 4x8' slatwall (aka proslat, slotwall) panel and cut it down to a few pieces for the #workshop.

I was on the fence about that approach for a year or two – versus building custom tool & supplies hangers/shelves.

But ultimately there's a huge wealth of shapes and functions of hanger options on the #3Dprinting sites, so this should give me lots of options.

Hoping to eliminate some benchtop clutter!

Oh fun - I see there are big letters available for the slatwall use too.

A screen shot of the Printables site shows 3D models for various letters of the alphabet which can be mounted on your workshop slatwall panel. I guess some people use the panels as a simple, configurable sign base.

We're woefully low on cake here (ie none) so I'm abandoning the shelving/garage/workshop work to make a cake.

Just saw something called 'one bowl spice cake' near the quick chocolate cake recipe I like, so might try that instead.

Okay, great – I'm glad to hear that the high-speed rail proj will start by linking Ottawa and Montreal. Sounds like a good plan.

But: "The segment would be about 200 kilometres long and construction would begin in 2029."

Ugh! Where is the urgency? Are we going to do Ottawa's LRT thing again where we re-invent trains from scratch and have to learn how to make "wheels" and "doors" like they've never been made before?

And 3yrs prob means 5yrs until they break ground. Jeez.
