It’s probably time to share Hannah Cohen’s latest album, Earthstar Mountain, since I’ve listened to it 14 times. Two tracks, Draggin’ and Earthstar, are standouts. It starts out a little folksy but stick with it. This is another album that took years to put together, and it shows (in the best way.)

Quick re-listen. I’ve been listening to Audiotree Live’s recording of Finom, but this little EP from the studio sounds terrific. A nice break for my system from Jazz, which just really is hard to get right. I love Jazz! But some music just sounds better in my space with my system, and this is some of it. Forgiving. Enjoyable.

If you don’t know Chicago group Finom… check them out

AT&T just left a door tag saying they’re ready to install residential fiber to our new neighborhood! I hadn’t gotten around to cancelling the old plan or returning their equipment yet. Procrastination pays off I guess.

β€œTrust, but verify,” which, of course, means β€œDon’t trust” lol

I just re-checked the ethernet ports. They’re fine, same speed. Alrighty then!

My only complaint is the ethernet ports on the access point appear to be throttled. Or broken. They are absurdly slow, like 10 Mbps. I’ve gone through two different units, same result. So it’s all WiFi, all the time.

Yes I love my T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. T-Mobile promised a flat $50 a month and that’s what they are charging. We pulled down 916.93GB last March and there were no complaints. 60 MB/sec is great.

β€œMany Comcast customer complaints center on unexpected price increases. Comcast's FAQ on price changes advises customers facing price increases that their bills rose because Comcast needs to invest in network upgrades, and that even promotional prices can rise because of changes to fees that are in addition to the base price.”

Xfinity’s β€œ5-Year Price Guarantee” is… worthless. It applies to precisely one plan, 400 Mbps internet (5 years) and 1 Xfinity Mobile Unlimited line (1 year), bundled whether you want them both or not. Taxes, fees, and other β€œapplicable charges” are extra and subject to change during and after the promo.

In other words, your base rate may be fixed, but they can add additional charges whenever and however they like. Kind of like how you get β€œunlimited” data but throttled after you use β€œtoo much,” yes, unlimited sponge squeezes when you’re dying of thirst, so generous.
