I worry that I come across as too serious here, so in order to dispel any illusions I offer you my 22-year-old self, on a road trip that took us to Vegas, Grand Canyon, Death Valley and San Francisco.
It was the tamest Vegas trip ever made in terms of well, everything, and looking at this photo I understand why. But we did have fun enough to repeat that road trip thrice. Once I ended up hypnotized on stage, and there are DVDs out there with me "auditioning for a porno".

#3ThingsThatShapedMe
1: spending my formative years in a communist country, then moving to Sweden at the age of 7. It gave my life an odd trajectory.
2: skydiving in 2004. Learning to trust the invisible air, to trust nature and human ingenuity to stop me from going splat was the first step to starting to trust myself, and the universe.
3: a serendipitous evening in 2011, when I met @Nightwolf@unstraight.club (now my husband). I couldn't picture "settling down", now I'm living it.

An updated list of my current interests:
#VideoGames - currently playing AC Valhalla, big fan of Mass Effect, hoping for a third Ori game.
#ScienceFiction - some favorites are "Star Maker" by Olaf Stapledon, "The Birthday of the World" by Ursula LeGuin, The Magicians, Killjoys, The Radch trilogy.
#consciousness - I'm currently exploring the idea that consciousness begets matter in my upcoming book series "The Psychonaut Chronicles"
#PopCulture - it's the High Art of humanity, change my mind.
Moving to the north was one of those life changing decisions that I tend to make on a whim. I liked the idea of living in the north, but I had no idea what I would discover. They say they have eight seasons up here, and I've always wondered what the time between fall and winter (which I'd count from first snowfall that stays) could look like. This is a color photo of it during the golden hour. We have not had any permanent snowfall yet, but the landscape has frozen.

Back when I began working at Hyper Island, a small Swedish vocational college with a big reputation in the international advertising industry, we spoke mostly Swedish. English was frequently spoken, what with all the agencies that wanted to send lecturers in hopes of getting people to intern with them. Agencies that worked with brands you currently use.
The history HI is a perfect example of functional social capitalism, but that's another story
