its because businesses in very large part do not give two shits about security, and the people who work in security feel like their jobs dont matter. when you discover that your leadership doesnt give a shit about you or your work, its incredibly demoralizing. why should you give a shit if nobody else does?

Modern corporate IT is so incredibly fucked. 1/4 of the work craptop’s memory is being used by Microsoft Teams, another 1/4 is being used by one of the 3 endpoint “protection” agents (Trellix). I have just rebooted and not started any applications, yet 57% of the 16GB of RAM is already in use.
Going to use some green pear wood cuttings to add smoke to the BBQ pork roast tonight. Should be full of sap after winter and smoke up nicely.
