Probably my issue is that "unary" is used for both a numeral system and a set of codes (which use that numeral system, so totally legit).
Numeral systems are writing systems that imply the capability to tell empty space from the symbol, so the essential minimum binary possibility. But this aspect is implied and out of relevance for the numeral systems.
Instead it's important for codes, which need some synchronization mechanism to be actually used (read, transmitted), and unary codes are self-synchronizing (and are a case of binary code).
P.S. as @halosghost@chaos.social highlighted, the expansion of the base-1 (unary) representation works perfectly well as a positional representation.

If you are an ace man who has ever been demeaned or embarrassed or otherwise humiliated because you have no desire to engage in sex, feel little to no sexual attraction, or are merely repulsed by sex, then know that you are no less of a man for it. Masculinity and sexuality are not the same issues, but they go hand in hand due to most cultures' patriarchal bent. Anyone who takes your ace identity as an insult against masculinity does not understand anything but a flawed concept of weakness vs strength.
Being a man is more than just gender or sexual identity. Masculinity can be positive or negative. True positive masculinity is accepting that men are not so cut and dry. Gay men, Trans men, Ace men, however you identify yourself, nobody can take it away from you.
As an ace man, I've occasionally felt a nagging inside that maybe I'm not really a true man. That, of course, is internalized misogyny and acephobia. And that's horseshit. My dick doesn't define me. It's a feeling I have inside. I know that I'm a man, and I also know that sex means very little to me, at this point in my life. They are mutually exclusive concepts.
To all my male brothers, whoever you are, whatever you look like, whoever you love, never doubt your identity just because some chud thinks you're weak. True strength comes from having a strong character, and you have that in spades.

Joe Vinegar@Jorsh@beige.party to me the whole 'masculinity' and 'femininity' concepts are the same set of social expectations and thought framing that leads to toxic masculinity, misogyny, homophobia and other -phobias regarding gender, sex, and social interactions. My feeling is that they don't serve any positive purpose at all, and should be avoided, as they oversimplify (in a crippling way) the complexity and variety of human behavior and human personality.

The idea that so many people would choose to be lazy is, in and of itself, lazy. People have aspirations and goals that are untenable in their financial situation. Remove the barrier, and suddenly, you have millions of people enriching their lives.
We seem lazy because we're fucking depressed and tired from working all the time.

Even the famous "self-made" ones (a laughably small percentage* crowned by selection bias), they long stopped to (depend on) work to survive, and still they all* boast working a lot.
So please tell me: why the lack of "need to work to survive" is NOT a problem for upper bourgeoisie and rich people, while it should be a problem for all the rest?

La Regional è molto più diffusa, più acrobatica e dall'aspetto più marziale. Giocano a piedi nudi, hanno cinture lunghe colorate che simboleggiano il grado (tipo judo o karate). Il gioco è molto veloce e dura poche decine di secondi, poi ci si dà il cambio.
In capoeira Angola il gioco è molto lento quasi stile Tai Qi (non così lento ma l'idea è simile), molto tipo Twister o contact tango (ma senza contact), dura diversi minuti per ogni coppia di giocator3/danzator3/lottator3. Si gioca con le scarpe (c'è un motivo storico legato alla liberazione degli schiavi), niente cinture colorate o esami di grado.
È un'esperienza molto diversa.
Poi ci sono varianti (Primitiva, Contemporanea) che mescolano o mantengono più aspetti delle 2 famiglie principali.

se hai interazioni con un gruppo e non ti prende tanto, potrebbe essere la mancanza di compatibilità/sintonia con il gruppo.
Per me è stata un'esperienza trasformativa e terapeutica sia fisicamente che psicologicamente. È la mia cura contro il mal di schiena, ma anche contro la presunzione o l'autocommiserazione, o la solitudine.
Ho partecipato alle lezioni con molta discontinuità: ne ho preso quello che potevo quando potevo. Ma è sempre una gioia per me partecipare ad un allenamento o una roda (il ballo/canto/danza/lotta).
Altr3 hanno avuto un altro tipo di esperienza: ambienti maschilisti, o aggressivi, o elitari: dipende tantissimo dal mestre e da chi ci sta intorno. Come e più di altre pratiche marziali e no. 3/3

(quando ne avrai voglia), se ti è possibile valuta diversi gruppi: la capoeira interessante è un'attività sociale, quindi la tua esperienza (ed i benefici che ne potrai ricavare) dipendono fortemente dalle persone con cui interagirai più o meno periodicamente, oltre ovviamente dal mestre, che di fatto crea il gruppo intorno a sé.
E ci sono almeno 2 grossi stili, abbastanza differenti: la capoeira Angola e quella Regional.
