7. The Plaintiffs submit that when deciding to bid in the first place, they and their investors relied upon the representation that they had the ability to transfer the Mobilicity licences to an incumbent after the five-year moratorium. They argue that the transferability provided an exit strategy to be used in the event Mobilicity was unsuccessful, in the form of a sale to the only likely buyers: the incumbents. However, in 2013, that transferability was removed. As it turned out, Mobilicity struggled financially and ultimately sought protection from its creditors in an insolvency proceeding.
8. The Plaintiffs submit that when Mobilicity sought to transfer its licences after the five- year period, the Government intentionally acted to unlawfully frustrate that sale. The Government unilaterally changed the rules by amending the policy framework to prohibit a transfer of the licences to an incumbent;

@chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca Lets say you were just a normal resident of Alberni working in a garage, would you have gotten any alerts on phone or messages from city over radio or loudspeakers on vans about either of the Wesley Ridge (which could block the 4 to civilisation) or the new Mount Underwood which blocks road to Bamfield and evac of the China Creek area ?
Seems to me like Wesley Creek would be more in danger of cutting you off from su0plies and your only evacuation route.
Of BC feries brought one of their ships to Port Alberti, would there be anywhere for it to dock and load cars to evacuate? or would you, Ucluelet and Tofino be isolated and unable to leave ?

A good look at the logic inside thoe Waymo taxis and what happens when they are all autonomous without any coordination where the feel awakens at the same time and all wish to leave at same time. Note car that has fklashing headlights at bottom right. some cars behind leard to find another path, but 3 cars are dead set on waiting for the obstruction ahead to clear.
Many years ago, there was a video precicting that cars of the future would be smart and we wouln't need traffic lights anymore because they would all negotiate passage between each other without requuiring anyone to stop by carefully choreographic their speeds./timing.

Last February, the MSC Baltic III ship ran aground on a very ruggest Newfoundland coast against a rock cliff. This required a SAR helicopter to lift crew off the ship in dangerous weather against the cliff.

Sorry, but this is insane. The UK should have rejected this visit that Secret Service requires full protection with helicopters etc since it is not an official visit. And the government that cut hundreds of thousands of jobs has no problem sending a presidendial motorcade (C17s with all the cars and choppers in it) for the pitbull TOURIST TRIP. That is worse that the pitbull requesting lake level be raised so he can go on a boat in it.
And his motorcade driving on right side of road in London is an insult.

aka: the cost of climate change. This is from 9 years ago and the lake level situation has worsened since then, providing justification for this mega project as the 1st intake is now unusable.
While public transit projects get a lot of attention, projects such as tehse are just as great if not greater but because it is for municipal water they are invisible and taken for granted. But when every city needs to deal with reduced availabilit of water and growing population there is a huge cost to society.
BTW, while the Metro,s funding only allows for very slow tnnel digging, remember that they built tunnells spanning east-west of Island of Montreal when they built the gian sewage interceptor network and some of the tunnels are as large as the metro.
