A very impressive tree with a trunk that goes up like a normal tree, but its roots twist up and over the rocks and hillside next to it. It reminds me of illustrations of a sea monster wrapping many tentacles around a ship.

In an attempt to help with my seasonal affective disorder, this week my husband invented hugby, wherein he runs and tackles me with a hug while shouting "Hugby!"

I went downtown yesterday for dinner. I had been feeling blah in the afternoon at home, and so we went early, so we could walk around and I could take some photos.

Sunbeams over snow.
