Hello Fedi, I'm Aurora. I'm very excited for it to once again be #portfolioday ! I've been working away at my art in the last year, and I'm happy to say I've made a lot of progress on refining my skills and my art.
I do a bit of everything, but mainly 2D charcoal and 3D modeling plus plenty of digital art on the side. I like making art just for art's sake, but I also enjoy making games with my art. I've tried to provide a decent spread of technique and subject here, but I think it's obvious I'm in my plant phase

General "state of Fedi" response
Honestly I've been trying to figure out what to say on everything that's happening recently for a while now. Fedi is really important to me as an online community, especially in these trying times, and I'm saddened to see it become such a negative space for so many.
I don't blame those who would choose to step away, not at all. I wish all of them good health and time away to recuperate. I am sad though that it's becoming a common choice lately, with everything from single user instances to massive instances shutting down for a variety of reasons.
For those of us who remain in this community, I hope we can all find ways to communicate and work together without negativity. There is so much bad about our world right now, and our silly lil online space is an important part of fighting back against that.
I'm just one kitty who's not directly involved in anything happening, so take my opinion as you will, but in this time of strife and division it didn't feel right not to say anything.
Hope all y'all fedizens are doing okay and taking care of yourself today. Wishing everyone love, self care, pets, snacks, or whatever else makes you happy.
Meta-adj - single user / small instances
As someone who made a 2 person instance for a lot of reasons, I really do hope we don't see a trend of big instances blocking all small instances.
The smaller networks and single users are important for our ecosystem, and I hope big instances can find a way to balance their needs. People make small servers for a variety of reasons, and it's a practice that I think makes Fedi special.
