Honestly I've been trying to figure out what to say on everything that's happening recently for a while now. Fedi is really important to me as an online community, especially in these trying times, and I'm saddened to see it become such a negative space for so many.
I don't blame those who would choose to step away, not at all. I wish all of them good health and time away to recuperate. I am sad though that it's becoming a common choice lately, with everything from single user instances to massive instances shutting down for a variety of reasons.
For those of us who remain in this community, I hope we can all find ways to communicate and work together without negativity. There is so much bad about our world right now, and our silly lil online space is an important part of fighting back against that.
I'm just one kitty who's not directly involved in anything happening, so take my opinion as you will, but in this time of strife and division it didn't feel right not to say anything.
