y’know I was raised as a #Christian (am no longer) and I never heard literally anything about immaculate conception or that the Eucharist is, like, important, at all, and I want my money back

I am often baffled at how LaTeX is viewed as the gold standard of maths typesetting when it produces absolutely HIDEOUS output like these abominations

for instance: There are Irish people in northern Ireland. If you want to refer to people from Ireland who are Irish, you'd have to say "Irish Irish" or something. This incorporates the assumption from the name of Ireland that the Republic of Ireland is more Ireland than Northern Ireland. It would be nice to disclaim any opinion on this with just a few syllables

there should be some way to concisely reproduce a naming scheme that incorporates an assumption while explicitly noting you do not necessarily agree with that assumption

One thing I hate; the shining sun on a bright summer day. The harsh light brings the world into focus… The wind rustlingβ€”I feel a physicality of it all, the sheer roughness of it all. Light burns my eyes, I am alone hearing sand crunching beneath my feet. Turtles on the beach and ants on the rock struggling like clockwork. I feel like I am in an, …, a grain in mountains of sand that make up history, and that will only matter to its surroundings; I feel a chill of reality climbing up my spine.

Summer feels so fake. I don’t see the world

it’s not what it’s like usually. Why are we in a movie
