SchroedingerSomething that occurred to me recently - the Religious Right base their principles on The Bible, so they say. But it is not The Bible - the original Hebrew/Greek/Aramaic writing translated into a language we can understand.
Their bible is one version, one translation: usually the KJV.
So arguing that a passage is a terrible translation is pointless. They don't care. Their Holy Writ is the instruction book that is the KJV. Any words in that are True.
One reason I loathe this version.
