Do you life activities include diagnosing bad capacitors on circuit boards? Take the time to build an in-circuit capacitor tester and stop needlessly replacing caps that are fine! It takes just seconds to go thru a board and identify all the bad caps!

Ah right, forgot a post.
A buddy said he got one of these to play with, I decided to dig mine out. Apparently its got a whole bunch of upgrades I didn't know of. (ram, keyboard, and a turbo switch?)
anyhow, does anyone have a kicad pcb+stl for making a cartridge?
its a bit sloppy to drive, but it works! (ok, I have more work to do on it)
I also think my batteries are dead and I dont have a charger right now....
heh, at the end I knocked the joystick offset and had fun stopping it.
I just ate up space for 50 images. :/
:] the X and Y controller inputs are reversed, and I need to up the maximum pwm value. Its quite 'drifty' without motor feedback.(don't make me add that...)
heh, so, X and Y for the joystick were reversed , the motors were wired backwards and left-right crossed. I'm not sure if I could have had my initial assembly more wrong....
I will try to do a video tomorrow of driving it a bit.
I need to find some straps for the battery and controller....
Sorry I'm sparing infosec excessive storage again.

Every so often we need to try out some of the new tech. Today I'm trying out these tiny little half bridge chips that, by the real numbers, should be good for 40A if I can dissipate 10W fast enough.
If I were a radio tube person the idea of switching a fraction of this current would amaze me.
(I still think they will blow off a leg)

@regorlas@hachyderm.io Its the bed of my drillpress! Its a round one and it turns!
@regorlas@hachyderm.io because you can swing and turn the bed, you dont really have to worry about where you bolt things down.
A bit more progress on the controller for the skidsteer loader. This is more than I did yesterday.
Gee it would be so cool to have someone to build stuff with, I so rarely get to work on something with someone who knows what I'm talking about. (actually I start to trip up, hehe)
"Rue, why are you keeping this PCB?"
"I want that chip."
"OK, I removed it, now throw the rest out"
"wait, I want that one too.."
"OK..."
