A council of crows convened on the tree in the neighbor's yard. From the remaining branches of a tree, they had a lively discussion A contractor had pruned many of the majestic branches and left these branches of the tree in a pile
A crow spoke up, declaring what has happened here was no accident The other crows continued to echo this call for action This tree has weathered great storms of our many generations This tree has protected and provided us with many fruits The branches removed can never been replaced
In these uncertain times What happened to this tree shall be remembered A garrison of mosquitoes has been activated And some are already on patrol We must remain vigilant and protect those who have protected us
Another perfect day in the country, off grid, laying on my front porch next to the solar garden. The native wildflowers and wasps keep the biting insects away. Diverse groups of birds surround the area with a network of beautiful communication with the gentle breeze.
I used to have much better than 20/20 vision every time I had an eye checkup. Lately, my vision was really bad and was preparing for what would happen if I were to become legally blind.
The habitual cell phone too close and perhaps the severe vitamin D and B12 deficiency may have contributed to a severe decline. I hear it can be from a lack of dopamine from excessive prolactin levels too, which were also measured in blood tests.
But I'm rapidly improving my eyesight with the very basic vitamin supplements, focus on a healthy high fiber diet of whole foods, zero added sugars in anything, fasting for a few days every few weeks, and frequent eye exercises. And black coffee or tea (kombucha even better!)
Months ago, I noticed a profound improvement with vision and nearly every measured health metric I used by fasting for nearly a week. Not recommended for everyone, but I suspected it could help and for me, it did. I feel decades younger. No more inflammation or sleepless nights. I can sleep like a teenager again and jump around like a kid, unlike the last few years. I can run up the stairs again and again. whereas before I barely made it up the steps.
And I'm in my late 50's. The second best time to have healthy habits is todayπͺ
