Porch pirate caught in the act!
Did a bit of lab decorating in advance of my interview for CircuitPython Day, conducted by the incomparable @blitzcitydiy@mastodon.social! Itβll be up Friday at 2pm on Adafruitβs YouTube channel. Such a treat to share the great things our students are involved with (and to get a chance to community thanks).
Was telling my kids that a cartoon that I grew up with had a character named O.G. written Ogee). Hanna-Barbera was so gangsta. Reboot with βO.G.β Ogee has such possibilities. Wu-Tang crossovers, Scooby Doo / Harlem Globetrotter-style! Hollywood, call me!
I was in the H-Mart this morning and the store music starts playing Tom Jones, βItβs Not Unusualβ. I did that double shoulder shake, two right then two left as I think is required when said song plays. I then noticed the woman working across from where I stood, she saw me and smiled shyly like she saw something she was not supposed to. I then shot her the double finger guns and she threw her head back and laughed. I love for moments of spreading unexpected mirth.
BC First, the campus program for first generation college students, dropped by the Hatchery. As someone who was the first in my family to ever go to college (mom and oldest brother never graduated high school) I always let the first gens know how proud I am of them. I also gave them all some of the posters I made up. If youβre on campus & want some, lmk. I have lots in my closet in the prototyping lab in 245 Beacon, and in my office behind Neon Baldwin. Welcome, New Eagles! Soar! π¦

Consolidated a bunch of in-process projects Iβm doing for our students in anticipation of speaking with @blitzcitydiy@mastodon.social for #CircuitPythonDay on #csed and #makered.
Now LinkedIn has a βTop Collegesβ list. While Iβm proud of my university and we repeatedly appear well-placed in such lists, Iβve got to tell you these βrankingsβ are all such clickbait or sales ploys. Always remember: not everything that counts gets counted and not everything counted counts.
The text has been used at over 450 institutions, remains my publisher's best-seller, and is available in low-cost formats that undercut traditional, much higher-priced textbooks. Most importantly: students & faculty rave about the up-to-date content, compelling examples, and fun, readable style (meant to mimic Wired & the Business press, rather than stuffy, traditional texts, all while underscoring key concepts vital to business & tech students). (3/4)
Do your students send 'fan mail' to your textbook author or rave about your course-pack? Maybe you should take a look at the content that gets stellar reviews & positive evaluation comment . Request your free online copy of this multi-award winning textbook at:

It even includes many exercises on "vibe coding". (2/4)
