I need the OBS maintainers to put just a little more work into their Linux version because outside of Discord, OBS is the buggiest most unreliable software package I run regularly. Flatpak or native repo makes no difference.

This weekend I got it to stop crashing when adding video sources by randomly having an old webcam plugged in which fixed a bug where it really had no idea how to enumerate my video devices without it. Same behavior across…7 distros, flatpak, kernel versions between 6.12 and 6.15, Wayland, X11, nothing made a difference until I just randomly plugged that old webcam in.

I don’t care how shitty your life is or how badly you’ve been mistreated through no fault of your own that makes it hard for you to communicate with others.

Using an LLM as your main form of socialization will kill you. Maybe physically, maybe not. But certainly your soul or the things that make you a human being will die and you’ll be locked in your cage built by venture capital until you truly expire.

Unfortunately the Benadryl I took last night didn’t really wear off until now which means my Sunday run is happening at 1:00pm instead of 7:00am.

Going to be way too hot but if I wait until the evening I’ll figure out a way to excuse myself from going, hah.

Good lord using linux hashtags here is such a mixed bag. If I'm bitching about something and I don't directly ask for help I'm JUST BITCHING ABOUT IT. Especially when I'm describing a solution I've come up with that works for my use cases and maybe I'm just opining that its not 100% optimal but still gets the job done.

I appreciate the sentiment of wanting to help but...if I'm not asking for help I don't need it. Let me complain about shit in peace.

I can be guilty of this too, but I try to never offer suggestions unless they are explicitly asked for.
