Update: thank you to all that have contributed thus, far.
I went online and canceled tomorrow’s appt at ford for the reset on the sensor replacement, diagnostic, etc. it doesn’t seem realistic that i’ll raise what I need in time, along with towing and have it there by 8am. no worries though for what was sent. it will be kept aside until further notice. thank you again

update/summary, hi everyone, in regards to my car, it’s still at rick’s auto. it needs a code reset that can’t be done at the current shop. this is why it needs to go to ford to complete the repairs. the car steering will not be restored until that point. the $290 is to pay for towing and the diagnostic @ ford. the owner said he needs the car moved today.
it’s been at the shop for repairs since dec 26th. on his end, he can’t do anymore.
